As they say -“ nothing captures the bloom of a flower more than its bud”, what can be the more credible statement of ingenuity than the inhabitant himself.
Anoop belongs to that young breed of Kashmiris who are set to make a difference through their vision and imagination.
Anoop, who was born in Kashmir and who naturally came to appreciate the ingrained craftsmanship and creativity, belongs to a family of traditional connoisseurs of the art.
In his childhood, Anoop was fascinated by the common sights of craftsmen who, in line with the Kashmiri psyche, used to sing folksongs while working their magic on the yarn. Having spent his childhood with these highly talented yet impoverished people, Anoop began to discover the sheer diligence and precise work that goes into the whole process. This stimulated his young mind to do something about publicising and developing this rich art on a wider scale.
After finishing the professional training in designing in 1998, Anoop spent several years in gaining a wide range of experience in the practical implementation of his ideas and with this view, he launched PRIZM in 2007.
PRIZM is a unique blend of core understanding of the traditional art and its ultra modern manifestation in the forms of rich apparel and beautiful patterns. The idea has been developed keeping in view the bridging factors between the traditional hand-made finest works and the needs of the contemporary, modern market.
